Listen up! Howland is the first library in Dutchess to offer free, legal access to thousands of songs in the Sony and IODA Alliance music catalogs. Any Beacon City School District resident with a valid HPL card and a home PC or personal device can download one DRM-free MP3 song per week to his or her own music collection. No due date: the song is forever. When HPL’s weekly limit is reached, selections can be wish-listed for future download. Freegal is an addition to our collection of great CDs from many record labels.
